Tuning
Each acoustic grand piano and upright piano requires care, it is necessary and indispensable to carry out the periodic maintenance and tuning which have an influence on the condition, usability and even on the value of the instrument to a considerable extent. An instrument tuned and maintained regularly performs well even through generations and delivers the unlimited pleasure of music into your home.
Base material of the grand pianos and upright pianos is wood, the spare-parts are made of metal, cloth and cashmere, thus the instrument is very sensitive to air humidity and changes of temperature. It is important that the room where the instrument is placed should be well-tempered with suitable humidity and temperature change. In a dry room – in order to maintain the condition of the instrument for a long period – it is recommended to use a humidor which can be acquired in our store in lots of variations. Suitable temperature is 20 degrees Celsius. Humidity content should be between 45-55 %.
It often occurs that in case of dryness it comes to sound board crack, warp of wood and in an extremely humid air the strings can get rusty, the spare-parts of the mechanics can be compressed, etc. In case of non-professional users the tuning is recommended once every year at least, at the beginning of the heating season. Simultaneously with the tuning we check the condition of the instrument and if required we carry out its cleaning, the adjustment of mechanics and we call the owner’s attention to
the possible problems. Before events and rehearsals in institutions and concert halls the tuning and maintenance are absolutely necessary and moreover yearly on two occasions at least.

Repair
On the occasion of tuning we carry out also the maintenance and smaller repairs of the instrument if required.
